December 2010 graduate, B.A. in English with an emphasis in Africana Literature.
Ms. Smith is the first in the family to graduate from college. While a full-time student at MU, Ms. Smith worked as a desk attendant, simulation patient, and a tutor for A Way With Words and Numbers. Wanting to become involved around campus, Ms. Smith became a community leader in Lathrop Hall, a United Ambassador, a Justice on the Greek Judicial Board, and joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Ms. Smith enjoys working with youth and spends her summers working with St. Louis Freedom School as a servant intern leader and a site assistant. After being a college adviser, she intends to complete her Master’s of Arts in Teaching with a certification to teach middle school students in high need schools
